Widevine (www.widevine.com) demonstrated its video optimization and DRM capabilities using on demand and live services. Devices used for the demonstration included Blu-ray players from Samsung and LG; Mac and PC laptops; and iPhone, RIM and Android mobile devices. The company showed the features unique to its video optimization capabilities such as fast video startups and buffer-free trick play. The capabilities are designed to make the experience of watching content delivered over the Internet virtually the same as watching content on a DVD. Widevine also demonstrated how it can support live (linear) video as well as on-demand content.
