Quantenna Communications (www.quantenna.com), a developer of silicon for high-speed, 802.11n, wireless HD video home networking, showcased a 4x4 MIMO wireless home networking chipset that incorporates the entire range of Full-11n Wi-Fi features necessary to deliver multiple full HD video streams with 1080p quality anywhere in the home, while maintaining full compatibility with existing 802.11n products. The chipset was shown delivering three high-quality, low-latency H.264-encoded HD video streams with 1080p resolution. The chipset is designed to deliver 100 Mbps data rates over 100-foot distances with near-perfect packet-error-rate (PER) data-transfer performance, operating in a point-to-multipoint service configuration.Quantenna's third-generation chipset fully supports the IEEE802.11n standard with advanced features including 4x4 Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO). It also incorporates extensions to the IEEE802.11n standard including dynamic digital beamforming, mesh networking and wireless channel monitoring and optimizing.
