Pace (www.pace.com) showed its Home Content Sharing Multiroom DVR solution, which is designed to push the bandwidth limitations of MoCA 1.1 and use advanced video processing and routing technology. The architecture is designed to enable nine simultaneous HD streams within the home, including six simultaneous recordings, making every TV set in the home a fully functioning dual tuner HD-DVR. Future evolutions of the hardware are planned to integrate DOCSIS and voice capability within the same architecture. Portable content offerings are expected to be available through software and/or hardware changes. The company also presented a "flash lite" application environment ported onto Pace's Engineware for North American cable set-top boxes. The demonstration featured popular information, social networking and video streaming, as well as the latest VTV calling system from Skype, enabling video conferencing on the TV via a webcam and a standard Pace set-top.
