Harmonic: 2010 Optical Leader

Harmonic continues to lead network expansion with what the company calls The world’s smallest 4 x 4 segmentable node,. Harmonic’s PWRBlazer HLN 3142E supports four-way segmentation in both the forward and return paths, enabling a wide variety of architectures for expanding bandwidth. This versatile node works with Harmonic’s Digital Return technology, and is easily reconfigured in the field.

The SUPRALink 1550 nm DWDM transmission system transmits full band, 1-GHz of content with up to 8 wavelengths per fiber to a link distance of 40km with amplification, ideal for reclaiming fiber. Users can scale in one-wavelength increments for simple, seamless expansion.
