Telefónica's Brazilian subsidiary Vivo has expanded its use of service management technology from Netcracker Technology, according to the platform vendor. The move, which aims to enable Vivo to standardize provisioning and activation for all B2B and B2C mobile services, comes as the service provider enacts its digital transformation strategy.

Vivo delivers fixed-line and mobile voice, television and Internet broadband services to approximately 97 million subscribers in Brazil. Use of the service management platform will accelerate service activation, provisioning and assurance, Netcracker asserts. The expanded use of Netcracker’s service management capabilities follows a previous announcement that Vivo also plans to extend its use of the supplier’s revenue management platform.

"Netcracker's proven ability to deliver sophisticated solutions that enable and support digital transformation strategies largely influenced our decision to upgrade and expand our use of its service management platform," said Adriana Lika, IT director at Vivo. "By standardizing and streamlining the way we activate and provision mobile services, we will be able to provide our customers with a better experience."
