Comcast Business (NASDAQ:CMCSA) announced that ClearSky Data, a provider of on-demand storage with built-in offsite backup and disaster recovery services, has chosen Comcast Business' network to help serve its customers.

Comcast Business' fiber-based Ethernet networks are designed to deliver speeds up to 100 Gbps. ClearSky is using Comcast Business' Ethernet Private Line and Ethernet Virtual Private Line solutions to deliver its redundant storage as-a-service offering to customers nationwide.

"Our customers require on-demand access to their data which span data center locations across the country," said Brad McLaughlin, network project manager at ClearSky Data. "With Comcast Business' solutions and large nationwide footprint, we are able to diversify our network carrier base with another trusted provider, ensure redundancy for our customers and connect with more businesses who have significant data storage requirements."

"As our network continues to grow across the country, we are dedicated to providing our customers - like ClearSky - with the fast, reliable, technology services they need to thrive," said Barry Bader, senior director of product sales and support for Comcast Business in the greater Boston area.
