AT&T (NYSE:T) has deployed its AT&T Fiber fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service in parts of Evansville, IN. Available symmetrical Internet plans include AT&T Internet 100, AT&T Internet 300 and AT&T Internet 1000.

The company says its FTTH service is currently live in parts of 72 metro areas and under construction in 12 more. AT&T plans to reach at least 14 million locations across at least 84 metro areas by the end of 2019.

The Evansville deployment is also intended to support a planned 5G wireless deployment in the town via fiber backhaul.

AT&T first introduced its FTTH service in Austin, TX, in 2014 and has been expanding it since. The company has also been actively deploying fixed wireless broadband services lately, particularly in rural areas.
