Eagle Communications and Service Electric Cable TV & Communications have selected Alianza's Cloud Voice Platform for their VoIP telephony services. Both operators are migrating from legacy hosted softswitch solutions to a cloud solution to support both residential and business services.

Service Electric, one of the first cable operators in the United States, serves more than 125,000 customers with broadband, cable and phone services in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

"Technology partners play a key role in how we positively impact the communities we serve. Through our Alianza partnership, we have a stronger solution to continue that tradition," said John Walson, president of Service Electric. "We now have a more simplified operating environment and an agile product suite that can adapt to our customers' needs along with the best economics."

Kansas-based co-op Eagle Communications provides Internet, TV, and phone service plus business IT and advertising solutions in 60 Kansas, Nebraska and Colorado communities. Alianza's solution supports Eagle's existing phone services, and the member-owned operator is integrating the Cloud Voice Platform with its existing back office systems to automate customer life cycle management.

"From the outset, Alianza demonstrated strong commitment to innovation and driving additional value for our customers," said Travis Kohlrus, general manager of Eagle Communications. "The Alianza team and its innovative technology are outstanding; its cloud-based VoIP solution is the future of cable voice and is clearly the best choice for Eagle Communications."

Alianza is showcasing its cable VoIP 2.0 solution at the NCTC's Independent Show July 24-25 in Indianapolis.
