EnerSys Energy Systems CMOA DOCSIS 3.1 Gateway - 3.5 Diamonds

Sept. 29, 2020
Conventional modems rely on manual attenuation pads to attenuate the power to an acceptable level. The CMOA series, with the eCMM RF auto-attenuation feature, performs this matching process digitally by itself. The CMOA series modems incorporate an integrated digital step attenuator (DSA) to attenuate the receive RF power level from 0 dBmV to 31.5 dB in 0.5-dB increments.

Judge’s Comment: “Nice to have in cases where a cable modem in the power supply is fed from a directional coupler and not a level-controlled tap.”
