The cable MSO says it will begin transitioning current TV customers to the new platform this month.

Breezeline says it now offers its “Breezeline Stream TV” service in Columbus and Cleveland, OH. The offering is a cloud-based TV service using IPTV technology to integrate live TV, DVR, on-demand, and streaming apps, with access via a single interface. Up to 300 hours of HD recording is available with Cloud DVR Max.

The cable MSO says it will begin transitioning current TV customers to the new platform this month. Full conversion in the two markets should be completed by late this summer. Breezeline Stream TV also is available now to new residential and business video customers.

“Since we acquired the Cleveland and Columbus operations, we’ve invested tens of millions of dollars into our network to improve reliability and performance,” said Heather McCallion, vice president, products and programming for Breezeline. “Now, we’re ready to deliver a powerful, versatile viewing experience on multiple devices inside and outside the home that is also incredibly simple to use.”

The new streaming TV service comes on the heels of an investment of more than $50 million last year on new fiber network deployments and to double its network capacity. Breezeline estimates it will spend another $75 million on further network upgrades this year.
