ZCorum Remote Spectrum lets a cable operator view the downstream spectrum passing through a cable modem or set-top remotely without the need for a spectrum analyzer or network probes. The app runs on a smartphone, tablet or PC. The technician can view all channels, regardless of the channel the device is tuned to, and can view and compare spectrum from two devices at the same time.

Additionally, Remote Spectrum leverages a CableLabs DOCSIS MIB that enables the CPE to capture the full spectrum passing through the device for all data and video channels. This means it is useful for troubleshooting both data and video issues. No probes or proprietary devices are needed in the headend. All that is needed is a device that supports full band capture, the Remote Spectrum app, and server-side components. This is a lightweight application that runs on a Linux machine or on a Windows PC. It scans for compatible devices connected to the CMTS and authenticates users approved to view the spectrum.
