One Diamonds judge said he cannot wait to test the QAM Egress Option at Expo. The solution, which is an upgrade option for JDSU's DSAM (Digital Services Activation Meter), addresses UHF (LTE) band leakage/ingress management. By incorporating the QAM Egress Option into an existing product, JDSU says it has enabled low-cost, workforce-wide deployment.
No headend equipment is required, and the test mode is frequency agile so that it can fit any operator's network configuration. The mode provides a QAM signal presence that is simple to identify, and there is a peaked spectrum display for locating leaks. Optional directional and near-field antennas can find and fix leaks and verify leak-free repair work.
