The Modular Series 4400 is an intelligent video delivery platform that offers 20% higher MPEG-4-HD transcoding density than other solutions on the market, according to Inca Networks. Dedicated hardware transcoders allow providers to optimize format, resolution, and bitrate of live satellite, IP, and over-the-air digital sources for delivery to set-top boxes and multiscreen devices. The 4400 series is powered by VidiOS, Inca's advanced IP video processing and monitoring engine, which gives operators carrier-grade control and visibility.
One-, two-, and three-bay modular platforms are available for transcoding, trans-rating or downscaling up to 24 HD or 60 SD programs to MPEG-4 in a single rack unit. Customers can process an entire video lineup in less than half a rack of space. VidiOS features include program and PID filtering and remapping, stream grooming, and integrated stream analysis tools, like video thumbnails, statistical analysis, event logs and stream downloads.
