ARRIS ServAssure WiFi Solutions offers operators the visibility they need to assist customers with WiFi installation and troubleshooting and, as one Diamonds judge said, to reduce operating expenditures.

WiFi has become a necessity in today's home environment. When there is a problem with the service, customers turn to their service providers for assistance. More than 20% of Internet support calls are related to WiFi speed, connectivity, password issues and interference. More than one-third of customers say they hold service providers responsible for WiFi problems.

ServAssure WiFi Solutions is a browser-based application, available to ServAssure Edge Visibility and ServAssure Performance Management customers. With the system, technicians can configure, validate and troubleshoot WiFi networks. Specifically, the solution tests WiFi throughput, captures a snapshot of the installation for baseline comparison, and facilitates process-driven installations.

The application is used to configure wireless settings through a Site Survey of the RF environment to select the best band and channel. However, it also checks for connected devices and areas of the subscriber's home that may have less than adequate wireless signal and performs speed tests to validate the subscriber experience.
