Myanmar

Harmonic (NASDAQ:HLIT) and Viaccess-Orca announced that Global Technology Group, a telecommunications operator in Myanmar, is launching an OTT service called La La Kyi powered by Harmonic's VOS 360 media processing SaaS and Viaccess-Orca's TVaaS cloud-based TV platform.

Harmonic and Viaccess-Orca will manage Global Technology Group's media processing and distribution workflow via the cloud. Since both Harmonic VOS 360 media processing SaaS and Viaccess-Orca's TVaaS offer a usage-based pricing model, no infrastructure will be required on-premises at Global Technology Group.

UK

Liberty Global (NASDAQ:LBTYA) has purchased Benu Networks' IPv6 Dual-Stack (DS-Lite) solution. Benu's Virtual Service Edge (VSE) platform is the foundation of the DS-Lite solution, which is intended to allow broadband service providers to transition to IPv6 without impacting existing subscribers' use of IPv4 Internet or applications.

In addition, Liberty Global and Benu Networks partnered with ARRIS (NASDAQ:ARRS), for strategic architectural design expertise, integration, and deployment of the Benu Networks' DS-Lite solution by the ARRIS Global Services team.

Switzerland

net+, a Swiss provider of French language multimedia content, has launched its new multiscreen service powered by Viaccess-Orca's VO Player. The deployment, which includes DRM for VOD and live content, is intended to enable net+ to deliver a unified viewer experience across Android and iOS devices, as well as on PCs and Macs via web browsers. The VO Player is designed to be compliant with the DVB-Sub subtitle format, allowing the operator to reuse subtitle tracks of existing video content and legacy stream generation systems.

VO's secure video player also integrates with Verimatrix ViewRight Web and additional protection such as screen casting and recording securities.
