AT&T (NYSE:T) has launched its AT&T Fiber Internet service in parts of five new markets: Springfield, MO; Corpus Christi, TX; Madison, WI; southeastern Tennessee; and Wichita, KS.

Symmetrical Internet speed tiers include AT&T Internet 50, AT&T Internet 100 and AT&T Internet 1000. For AT&T Internet 1000, downstream speeds are typically up to 940 Mbps due to overhead capacity reserved to deliver the data.

The telco says its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service is now available to more than 7 million locations in 67 markets across 21 states. AT&T plans to reach at least 12.5 million locations by mid-2019. The service was first launched in Austin, TX, in 2014.
