Google Fiber (NASDAQ:GOOG) has started signing up customers for its gigabit-capable fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service in Louisville. Initial signups are in the Portland, Strathmoor and Newburg neighborhoods, and further buildouts are planned. Network construction started in May.

Available services include Fiber 1000 gigabit Internet for $70 a month and Fiber 100 for $50 a month. The company is also offering YouTube TV for $35 a month. Google Fiber announced earlier this month that future deployments, including Louisville, would not include video service.

Google Fiber, including WebPass (MDUs only), is currently deployed in parts of 18 markets. The company also recently announced that its service is available in more than 3,000 apartment and condo communities in its Fiber cities.
