The SCTE has appointed Tom Adams, executive vice president, Field Operations, for Charter Communications (NASDAQ:CHTR) to a seat on the SCTE/ISBE board of directors.
Adams, a 30-year veteran of the cable telecommunications industry, will bring to the SCTE/ISBE Board significant experience in engineering and operations management to help guide development of new programs designed to increase workforce skills, drive adoption of new technologies, and improve operators' bottom lines. He will officially be seated on the board at its annual SCTE/ISBE Cable-Tec Expo meeting.

Prior to joining Charter in 2012, Adams spent 17 years with Time Warner Cable. Prior to joining TWC, Adams worked for NewChannels from 1988 to 1995.
