Atlantic Broadband has launched gigabit service in Connecticut, which the company says is the state's first. GigaEdge (residential) and Pro GigaEdge (business) Internet services are available to more than 37,000 homes and businesses passed in eastern Connecticut communities including East Lyme, New London, Niantic, Montville, Oakdale, Quaker Hill, Uncasville and Waterford.

Pricing starts at $89.99/month for new residential customers and $249.99/month for new business customers.

"Atlantic Broadband is excited to deliver on its promise to bring cutting-edge speeds to the Connecticut residents and businesses we serve. And, we are thrilled to be the very first company in the state to deliver these residential speeds," said David Isenberg, Atlantic Broadband's President and Chief Revenue Officer. "GigaEdge and Pro GigaEdge will transform the way people communicate, work, and play online and we believe it has the power to positively impact the local economy and attract new businesses to the region."

Atlantic Broadband has also launched new residential and business internet services in the GigaEdge footprint (East Lyme, New London, Niantic, Montville, Oakdale, Quaker Hill, Uncasville, and Waterford) with new offerings and speeds, with its fastest speeds going from 120 Mbps/10 Mbps to 1 Gbps/50 Mbps.
