At the NAB Show in Las Vegas, Conax, part of the Kudelski Group (SIX:KUD.S), is introducing its Contego as a Service cloud-based video content protection service. The new offering is based on the Conax Contego security platform. Hosted, monitored and maintained by Conax, the modular content security back-end is designed to support DVB, IPTV and OTT as well as all major DRM technologies.

The company is also showcasing a new joint E2E multiscreen solution with middleware partner Mirada. Conax' multi-DRM back-end is now integrated with Mirada's TV everywhere platform, combining broadcast and OTT services with consumer device options in one solution.

Other Conax technologies being highlighted at the show include:

  • 4K watermarking combining watermarking technology and forensic detection services from Kudelski Security, secured through Conax Contego. The solution is intended to enable operators to meet the MovieLabs Enhanced Content Protection requirements for 4K/UltraHD content
  • Conax GO Live, the entry level end-to-end OTT service solution.
  • Conax Xtend Multiscreen, a pre-integrated solution designed to enable any operator to add a multiscreen offering on set-tops and mobile devices.
