At NAB 2016 in Las Vegas, Tektronix will be showcasing solutions for supporting the transition to live IP production, the creation of 4K content and the delivery of this high-resolution video content to the home.

Among the products being highlighted at the show is Tektronix' SPG8000A, a master sync and PTP grandmaster clock generator with optional, field upgradeable, PTP (IEEE 1588) support for both traditional SDI-based and IP-based media infrastructures.

The company will also demonstrate new media analysis and measurement solutions intended to bridge the gap between the SDI and IP worlds. The tools are intended to let both teams collaborate to detect and diagnose customer-impacting faults in their networks and facilities.

To monitor delivery of 4K content to the home, Tektronix has extended the MTS4000 and MTS4SAV3 test platforms to include HEVC analysis tools and a closed caption analyzer for ensuring FCC compliance. The latest version of Tektronix' Sentry ABR adds adaptive bitrate decryption capabilities for a transition from linear to ABR based content delivery with QoS, QoE and PVQ (perceived video quality) measurement, monitoring and analysis. For file-based environments, Tektronix has added support for ABR testing and all the latest compression technologies to its Aurora file-based automated QC solution.
