CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL) is expanding the availability of its fiber-based Prism TV service in the Twin Cities metro area to parts of St. Paul, MN, and 19 surrounding communities. The service was deployed in parts of Minneapolis last June.

The video rollout includes portions of Arden Hills, Blaine, Bloomington, Centerville, Circle Pines, Coon Rapids, Edina, Falcon Heights, Ham Lake, Lauderdale, Lexington, Little Canada, Minneapolis, Mounds View, New Brighton, North Oaks, Roseville, Spring Lake Park, St. Anthony, St. Louis Park and St. Paul.

Prism TV, which was introduced in Portland, OR, in May, includes a wireless set-top box, whole-home DVR, a mobile app, VOD and an app center for accessing social network sites. The telco plans to extend the service to more cities in the coming weeks.

CenturyLink began deploying fiber-based 1 Gbps broadband service in the Twin Cities in mid-2014.
