Shaw Communications (TSX:SJR.B) announced the launch of FreeRange TV, a TV Everywhere service based on Comcast's (NASDAQ:CMCSA) cloud-based X1 platform and Cisco's (NASDAQ:CSCO) Open Media Distribution solution. The app combines both streaming and on-demand video.

FreeRange TV is designed to provide a mobile destination that combines subscribers' TV and content subscriptions in one place, and makes their content available no matter where they are. All Shaw Cable and Shaw Direct customers can download the FreeRange TV app at no additional cost for iOS (8.0 and up) and Android (4.0.3 and up) devices.
