Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) has completed the rollout of faster Internet speeds to all its customers in the Triangle area of North Carolina, with the fastest tier, Ultimate Internet, offering downstream speeds up to 300 Mbps. Customers with any of the six Internet plans offered by TWC in its Triangle service area have access to faster speeds. The speed upgrades mark the completion of the MSO's $38 million "TWC Maxx" upgrade program in the Triangle. TWC completed its Maxx upgrades in Charlotte, NC, earlier this month.

The speed upgrades are available throughout the Triangle area, including the following communities:

Aberdeen, Apex, Benson, Bunn, Cary, Chapel Hill, Chatham Co., Creedmoor, Dunn, Durham, Fayetteville, Fuquay-Varina, Garner, Goldsboro, Henderson, Hillsborough, Holly Springs, Hope Mills, Knightdale, Leesville, Louisburg, Lumberton, Middlesex, Morrisville, Oxford, Pinehurst, Pittsboro, Raeford, Raleigh, Selma, Siler City, Smithfield, Southern Pines, Spring Lake, Wake Forest, Warrenton, Wendell, Wilson and Zebulon.

Other elements of the TWC Maxx program include conversion to all-digital video and network upgrades in preparation for DOCSIS 3.1 when it becomes available. Additionally, TWC has activated more than 5,400 WiFi hotspots in outdoor areas and small business locations throughout Raleigh.
