Infinera (NASDAQ:INFN) and CenturyLink (NYSE:CTL) plan to deliver 1.5 terabits per second (Tbps) of DWDM transmission capacity to support SCinet at the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage and Analysis (SC15) this week in Austin, TX.

The 1.5 Tbps of line-side capacity will connect the Austin Convention Center to CenturyLink's fiber network, utilizing the Infinera DTN-X platform. The terabit deployment is intended to demonstrate CenturyLink's provisioning of 100 Gigabit Ethernet (GigE) services from the conference to CenturyLink's point of presence in Austin and to six major U.S. cities across the country.
