The Expedus DVA IP, release 4.0, measures both QoS and QoE parameters for linear multicast IP and OTT/ABR streaming networks. It captures and decodes images every second for all supported channels. Operators can correlate alarmed events to visual representations of the content. Applications include linear IPTV headends, ABR network origin service points, regulatory compliance monitoring for closed captioning and audio level checking (CALM), and ad queuing point detection and verification per SCTE-35.
The Expedus DVA IP is designed to locate content impairments and transport problems, identify when and where they occurred in the network, and produce actionable information. It provides up to 5 Gbps of monitoring capacity and supports 600 programs across multiple 1 GigE or 10 GigE links. User-selected programs can be streamed at full frame rate to a remote operator for closer inspection.
