Anvato has introduced a live-to-VOD capability to allow content owners and programmers to create VOD files from their live linear streams and syndicate the files to multiple online destinations (e.g., Netflix, Hulu) and MVPDs (e.g., cable operators and telcos) in near real time.

Available to the company's Media Content Platform (MCP) customers, the live-to-VOD functionality is intended to enable content owners, programmers and broadcasters to syndicate their shows and other premium video assets, such as sporting events and concerts, as VOD files to MVPDs as quickly as possible after the show has aired live. Anvato's TV Everywhere platform is 100% software-based and uses off-the-shelf hardware.

Product functions include:

  • Partitioning live signal using SCTE markers from broadcast automation system
  • Automatically cutting entire shows in a frame accurate manner
  • Associating shows with upstream and scheduling metadata
  • Syndicating to the right destinations
  • Producing clean assets by automatically removing commercials
  • Resyndicating to the correct destinations at the right time
  • Reporting on syndication status
