Quantenna, STMicro Team on Set-Top Ref Design

Quantenna Communications has announced a single board WiFi-enabled set-top box reference design platform with STMicroelectronics (NYSE:STM) intended to reduce the cost and accelerate the time to market for wireless streaming of multimedia throughout the whole home network. The combined reference design features Quantenna's QSR1000 chipset, a "wave 2" 802.11ac solution, and ST's STiH206Liege platform with HbbTV.The reference design is available now to OEMs for media gateway system integration and is being shown by Quantenna and ST at IBC in Amsterdam.
